Testimonials – UK Summer Courses
I was very excited to go on an English Summer Course. The air and the environment is quite different from Thailand. I was really excited to go to school where I made lots of friends and joined many different activities.
Besides British friends, I also made many foreigner friends who were very kind and by the time I had to return to Thailand, I had become very close with my friends. I felt very sad to have to leave them. As for the teachers, they were very attentive to all the students. In each classroom, there are approximately 20 people, so every student got a fair share of the teacher’s attention. Besides classroom learning, staying at a hostel also taught me discipline and responsibility.
I was very impressed with the culture. You had to learn to live with many different characters and to rely on yourself. Besides having to communicate in English, I also got to learn how to pronounce some words that I’ve only ever saw in books.
Throughout the Summer Course, the CETA staffs were very caring and gave me good counsel. I appreciate the care received from CETA very much.
The Summer Course I attended in England is invaluable to me. And this is not just because of the experience but I got to make some very great friends during the trip and experience a very caring and family-like school environment.
If I were to write out all my wonderful experience, this would be a tremendously long testimonial. As a whole, I want to say that I believe I got some very precious experiences and memories back from the Summer Course and would like to say just how lovely and friendly the CETA staffs are.
The trip I book to UK for my Summer Course with CETA was a wonderful and memorable trip. I got to make new friends from all around the world and the opportunity to exchange ideas, language and culture. CETA’s group leader was also very friendly and attentive to our well-being throughout the trip.
I appreciate the CETA group leader I was with very much, who was kind and took very good care of me. During my Summer Course, I found that the students at the school as well as my host family were very friendly and greeted me with a warm welcome. I’d like to thank you CETA for the one month of immense experiences and fun activities. I had a wonderful time.
I had a lot of fun on my Summer Course and got to learn many new things such as cooking with friends at our apartment as well as doing the washing.
The school I attended was not far from the town centre, so I did a lot of walking. I made a lot of friends both from school and at the hostel I stayed at who helped me adapt to the new environment and community. Making friends in Oswestry is not difficult at all.
The teachers at the school are very kind but quite strict with the use of English Language. My favourite subject was art. Throughout the Summer Course program, the staffs from CETA were very supportive and gave me a lot of good advice.
I spend my summer at St. Michael’s College for a short Summer Course program that was offered by CETA. I had lots of fun and got to meet many new people. Besides practicing the English language, I got to do many fun activities with other school students as well. CETA’s group leaders were very friendly and helped me whenever there were any problems. If there is an opportunity in the future, I would definitely go on another Summer Course by CETA.
What I consider the main highlight of my Summer Course was the chance to play soccer with many new foreigner friends. In Thailand, I didn’t have the opportunity to play soccer much because it’s not popular among women. Playing soccer at the school was about focusing on my skills rather than just using brute force. I loved to practice my soccer skills.
The care and support I got from the school teachers was beyond what I could expect. I feel very well accepted and the teachers would frequently ask me how I was feeling and if I needed any help as well as help to correct my conversational English.
The school atmosphere is friendly and encourages children to play sports. As for staying at the Moorland School dorms, it’s exactly the same as staying in a Thai school except that you have to speak in English. You would get to mingle and have fun with the other students.
Besides classroom learning, there were many excursions to places such as London, Manchester, Liverpool, York and Blackburn. I loved all the places I visited equally and was impressed by each place’s uniqueness.
After returning from my Summer Course in England, I must say I changed as well and became more punctual and had better time management skills. While I was on the Summer Course program, there was no one to remind me of the time or make sure I was in line. I had to take care of myself and this is what the Summer Course helped me with: become more responsible and punctual.
The school staff were every attentive and supportive. I received many advices which I could apply to everyday life such as showing good discipline and respect.
The highlight of the Summer Course for me was the chance to meet many new foreigner friends. Most importantly, I was able to practice my English all the time. The teachers at the school were very lovely, warm and attentive all the time. The atmosphere around the school is beautiful with lots of fresh air. CETA’s representatives were very supportive and assisted me throughout the Summer Course.
