What are the CETA guidelines for international students in Homestay

CETA would expect and encourage international students to

  • Engage with the host family and seek out opportunities to become involved in the school and family life
  • Communicate significant issues/ concerns to the host family, guardian and school as appropriate
  • Respect the rules and expectations of the host family
  • Be responsible and pay for any damage to family property if found to be responsible for the damage

Based on experience, CETA provides a set of Guidelines to International students to enable them to learn quickly about the culture in Australian Homes

How CETA is in touch with Schools to assist welfare needs of students in Homestay

CETA works in close liaison with Schools International student divisions to be able to monitor and keep a close on student’s welfare in homestay.
